Licensed and fully insured. Painters Licence #257400C is required by law for painting work over a certain value in NSW, and not every painter carries it. We do. We also carry full public liability insurance on every single job — which means if something goes wrong, you are protected. We use premium Australian paint brands — Dulux, Taubmans, and Haymes — applied to properly prepared surfaces.

We take preparation seriously. Surface preparation is where the quality of a paint job is actually determined. A paint job on a poorly prepared surface will show problems within two or three years regardless of how good the topcoat is. We wash, treat, repair, prime, and mask every surface properly before any paint goes on. We take as long as the preparation requires — we do not rush it to save time and we do not skip steps to reduce cost.

Free colour consulting included. We bring sample boards to every quote visit and can spend time helping you work through your colour options at no extra charge. We assess how different colours will look in your home’s specific light conditions, advise on what works for your property type, and help you make a confident decision before work starts. This service is included with every quote.

Leave no trace cleanup. When we finish a job, we remove all drop sheets, masking tape, and plastic sheeting, check all surfaces near the work area for any overspray or drips, and take all excess paint and materials with us. Your home looks exactly as it did before we arrived — except the painting is done and looks great.

Our Painting Process: Step by Step

Understanding what a professional painting project looks like helps you plan effectively and recognise quality work at each stage. Here is our standard process.

Free quote visit. We visit the property at a time that suits you, walk through all surfaces to be painted, assess the condition of existing coatings and identify any repairs or preparation required, and discuss your colour preferences and timeline. The quote visit is completely free and carries no obligation. We take detailed notes and measurements during the visit so our written quote is accurate and complete.

Written quote. We provide a detailed written quote itemising exactly what is included — which surfaces, how many coats, what products, what preparation and repair work, and the fixed total cost. You know exactly what you are getting and exactly what it costs. We do not add unexpected items to the invoice after the job is done.

Colour finalisation. If you have not yet decided on your colours, we bring sample boards and help you finalise the selection before work starts. For larger projects we can apply colour test patches on the actual wall so you can see how the colour looks in your specific light conditions before we commit to the full job.

Surface preparation. Depending on the surface, preparation includes high-pressure washing, biological treatment for lichen and mould, sanding, scraping of loose existing paint, crack filling, caulking of gaps and joints, applying masonry sealer or primer, and masking adjacent surfaces. We take this stage seriously — it is not rushed and it is not abbreviated.

Paint application. We apply the number of coats specified in the quote — always a minimum of two on every surface, more where the coverage requires it. Walls and ceilings are cut in carefully by brush and rolled out evenly. Trims and joinery are brush-applied for precision. We check coverage and consistency at each stage. We allow correct dry time between coats — never applying a wet coat over an uncured previous coat.

Cleanup and handover. All drop sheets, masking tape, and plastic are removed. Floors, furniture, and surfaces near the work area are checked and cleaned. We do a final walkthrough with you to confirm everything is to your satisfaction. Payment is due on completion and we accept EFT.
